NOTE: POETRY COLLECTION: ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL... IS NO HEART AT ALL ~ is just the beginning of collecting every poem I have ever written. Over 5.000. Today is January 3, 2018.

From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

….for the goose dancing around all of us,
the goose of spirit, or the spirit of the goose, or maybe the spirit in all that flies sometimes, as a goose, not knowing why or where to, or where from.

1. THE GEESE DO NOT WALK THIS DAY
The geese do not walk the earth
This day
Nor do they circle on the water
I hear one honking
Across the arm of land
Where
There must be geese
At least one
Else how could I hear one honking
Perhaps it is there in the invisible
There
Somewhere

#2 from: POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

2. I DO NOT HAVE TO SEE THE GEESE
I do not have to see the Geese
To write of them
I simply have to Travel
Through Time and Space to
Become one of them
It is that Simple
My Friend

#3 from  POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

     From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

3.     I AM HERE ALONE

I am here alone
On this day
Sitting on the bench
Where
The tree makes a roof
Over me and the bench
A seat under me

I look out past the
Stems of green on shore
Past the mud that is
In and colors the water
To
The other side
Where…
Somewhere
There
Is
A
Goose

#4 from  POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

     From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

4.      A STRANGE SOUND CALLS

A strange sound calls
From over there
To my left
A sound
A squawk
A screeching grating sound
It is like fingernails scraping on a blackboard
Or metal scraping on glass
And there is silence
Nothing quiet’s Nature’s Symphony
Faster
Than
Screeching scraping sounds

#5 from POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

      From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

5.      A BOAT PASSES

A Boat Passes
Three and one-half riders
The one-half is a small child
I wonder if She or He
Is filled with Wonder
Or is it Disdain
I Wonder whether She or He will grow
To have Disdain for all Life
Or?
For all Natural Life
But or including Her or His own
I Wonder this

#6 from POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

       From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

6.    A FISH SLITHERS BACK INTO THE WATER

A fish slithers back into the water
A slithery fish
You wonder now
“Yes,” I say
“A slithery-slippery
Scaly-slimy-smooth-fish
Leaping then twisting and
Slithering back
Into the water”

7.    THE BOAT

The boat with 3 ½ passengers

With the 3 ½ passengers

#8 POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

     From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

8.    THERE WERE MANY GEESE

There were many geese calling
As the 3 ½ passengers
Passed under the bridge
Or the bridge passed over them
And I look into the water and see
How the water passes under everything
The air The sky My view
Even under the boat

#10 from POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

       From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

10.    I SIT HERE IN THE SILENCE

I sit here in the Silence
Although it is the Silence I see
Make that seek
The Silence of the Soul
In repose
The Soul at rest
I am a tired Soul
This has been a long journey

#11 from POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

       From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

11.    THERE IS NO SILENCE WHEN THERE IS HUNGER

There is no Silence
When there is hunger
And the Soul must feed itself
My Soul is hungry and I am feeding it
Here in this Silence
I am finding there is no Silence
Not
Even
On
The
Inside
Where usually
All is quiet
But it is not so
Today
Because my Soul Hungers
For itself
In the Noise
Where there is no quiet

#12 from POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

       From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

12.     I HEAR SOUNDS AROUND ME

I hear sounds all around me
Little Sounds
A truck
An airplane
Voices cursing and I do not know what
A crow caw-caw-caws
A burp
Somebody burps
So much for the quiet of nature

#13 from POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

      From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

13.    I HEAR CHIPPER SWEET LITTLE BIRDS

I hear chipper sweet little birds
And boys swearing
Catching fish
They curse more
What? Themselves?
Or do they curse the catching

I wonder?

#14 from POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

        From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

*Insert whatever deity, belief system-tangible that works for you in the God-Her-Him-Sense of spots in order to have this make sense, be of some use to you.

14.    I WONDER IF *GOD, IF THERE IS *GOD AS WE KNOW IT, HIM, HER, THE SENSE OF….

I wonder if God, if there is God as we know it, Him, Her, the Sense of,
Thought these things when He, She, the Sense of made us
Notice I said not He, or She, or Sense-of or ? specifically
For, if we are made in God’s image, we are All
And are the Creator too
Are we not?
Do you wonder?
Ever?

#15 from POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

        From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

15.     I HEAR A BLUE JAY SQUAWK

I hear a blue jay
Squawk
Squawk
High and Shrill
High and Shrill

And I know the universe
Is all things
And I know some things
Must die in this form
So others might live in this form

#16 from POETRY COLLECTION ~ A HEART WITHOUT ITS SOUL ~ IS NO HEART AT ALL

      From THE GOOSE DANCE POEMS

16.     I KNOW THIS

I know this
Because I know
This
Because I know this…

The voices continue
Voices with malice
Intent
And
Tone

I write on anyway
Because the voices
Are part of this

“Got him” a voice calls
And more swearing ensues

And then I hear them clearly

They do not swear at the catching

But they do
Swear at each other

At themselves

And I see

They are not listening
To the silence

Either

Their souls must be hungry

#3 TURNS

Turns are things we take
When we do not like
Our current direction

Those kinds of things
That certain moments
Allow us to adjust

Those adjustments we
Must make
When life
Sends us the signals
That it is time
For change

And it is time
For
Change

#8   SKY WALKER

The man who walks on
The sky
Has clouds and candles
For friends
Moonbeams grace his
Daytime hours
And stars dance across his
Forehead

He who knows how to
Walk across the sky
Never has to wonder why
Never has to wonder
Is this wish possible?
No…
For he who knows how
To walk across the sky
Already knows the impossible
Is already possible

#9   SUN IN CLOUDS

The sun is in a cloud today
Behind something that is haze
And
Gray and not clear
It is time I see
T float in the mist
And
Let the spirits there
Have their protection
And
Protect me while I
Restore
And
Recoup
From the ravages
Of my soul
And
Heal

#18    IT IS INTERESTING

It is interesting
As sickness overtakes us
That we fight the illness
Mentally with our bodies
And
Maybe when we are consciously aware
Of the ill-ness, mentally knowing
…the pain – Maybe then, we
Are fighting a demon of mind
As much as our body
Maybe it is this – the internal
The eternal you is in conflict
With the earthly us –
     And our external physical
                  Struggle
   Is manifesting this dilemma
                  Then
                      I
                   Ask
What are we to do
To realign this
To bring it all into
     Harmony
      What?
      What?
      What?
And listen for a response
And all I see is a blank playing
Card
With
The
Joker
Behind
It
